The basic concept being avoidance of analogue interruptions, digitalisation seems to initiate the decline of professional print volume. However, current demand for professional print services indicates different trends. Demand declined in certain areas whereas in others the call for qualitatively higher and demanding print services is increasing.
Digitalisation itself is thus driver of complex print services. Through virtualisation of the working environment and the associated increasing flexibility of workplaces, print services need to become independent of location and technology. Whether temporary workplace, home office, (foreign) subsidiary or business partners. It is increasingly expected that reliable print control can be executed worldwide and preferably at the own terminal.
The present guideline aims at providing help for safe and tailored print services in today's complex technical environment.
