The Diplom-Kaufmann with majors in information technology, industrial management and marketing started his career as a consultant in 1980 at the former EDP Studio Ploenzke (Nuremberg). Following his successful consultancy work for industrial clients and as a branch manager in Nuremberg he worked as managing director and board member of the Ploenzke Group (Wiesbaden) starting in 1991.

There, he was responsible for the sectors industry as well as public and private service providers amongst others. As a board member of CSC Ploenzke AG and vice president CSC Europe, Bruno Rücker was furthermore in charge of the establishment of a global SAP-Practice. He was also member of the 'CSC global consulting council'. Prior to founding Insentis, he was chairman of the board of OpenShop Holding AG (Neu-Ulm / Möglingen) as of 2001.

In his consultancy projects today, he is drawing on his long-time experience in establishing and managing global IT organizations. His focus is on IT management. The strategy-compliant positioning of internal or external IT service providers in their respective customer relationships is his first priority.

Following his studies in electrical engineering, majoring in data processing technology, at the Technische Hochschule Darmstadt, he began his professional career at CSC Ploenzke AG (Wiesbaden) in 1994. There, he was in charge of technology consulting and the management of technology-driven projects.

In the CSC Ploenzke Group, he managed the Competence Center Network and System Management, which had been established by him.

Today, he is advising Insentis clients in the areas of IT operations and IT sourcing. His focus is on system and service management as well as issues of IT security. The organizational and operational restructuring of international provider organizations and the elaboration of consolidation strategies for worldwide distributed data centres are among his competences as well as the management of core banking systems.

Global sourcing strategies as well as the planning and implementation of systems of digital transaction printing are further fields of consultancy.
